Charli XCX has unveiled her new video for “Gone” featuring Christine and the Queens and it’s pretty much everything fans would want from the two artists. It emotes the intense feelings of empowerment, sensuality and hopelessness, all wrapped into an electrifying, four-minute long visual.
In the Colin Solal Cardo-directed clip, the singers sport all black outfits in a dark space, dance on top of a car, and support each other in the rain as they pour their hearts out. “Why do we keep when the water runs?/ Why do we love if we’re so mistaken?/ Why do we leave when the chase is done?/ Don’t search me in here, I’m already gone, baby,” they sing together.
“Gone” is the third official single from Charli XCX’s forthcoming album, Charli, following previously released singles “1999” feat. Troye Sivan and “Blame It On Your Love” feat. Lizzo.
Charli will be available on Sept. 13 via Atlantic Records. Until then, check out the video for “Gone” below.
