Celiné Dion gets wrestled to the ground and handcuffed in a provocative Instagram post that appears to be an ad for the singer’s new line of gender-neutral children’s clothes. The brief video ends with Dion smiling and saying, “It’s OK, it’s OK, I’m Celiné Dion! I’m Celiné Dion!” as the name of the star’s fashion brand, Célinununu, spreads across the screen inside a plus sign.
The newly-launched Célinununu site features a number of products for boys and girls, including a leather jacket ($290), skull patch sweatshirt ($65), as well as leggings ($44), slippers ($44) and a denim biker jacket ($90). “One Voice: fashion has the power to shape people’s minds,” reads the clothing brand’s website. “Inspire your children to be free and find their own individuality through clothes.”
Dion, who launched a lifestyle brand titled the Celiné Dion Collection at Nordstrom last year, recently announced that she will conclude her eight-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on June 8, 2019. In a statement announcing her collaboration with the Nununu brand, Dion wrote, “I’ve always loved nununu and what they represent. Partnering with Iris and Tali to encourage a dialogue of equality and possibility makes so much sense. CELINUNUNU lets children choose outside stereotypes and norms, so they can bring from within their own tastes and preferences. We help them feel free, creative, inspired, respectful of one another, and happy in the world.”
A statement announcing the collaboration describes it as harmonizing “gender-neutral styles, timeless cuts, a distinct dictionary of symbols, and a minimalistic color palette that lets children shine at every stage.”
