Summer may be reaching its last days, but pop singer-songwriter Camryn isn’t ready to leave the beach just yet.
In the video for her latest single “Glow,” the 18-year old goes off-roading to the dunes at Pismo Beach, Cali. for a quintessential day trip complete with dancing, a campfire circle, and a gang of dune racers.
“‘Glow’ is a feel-good song, so I wanted the video to reflect something that I do frequently that makes me feel good,” the singer tells Billboard. “The video gives you a true taste of what my weekends look like.”
Surrounded by an assembly of friends, her three dogs, and bystanders that were incorporated into the video, the shoot gives a genuine feel for Camryn in her element. The good vibes of the final product does little to show the tricky production that occurred behind the scenes though. The beach location claimed a car bumper, kept an equipment truck completely off-site, and temporarily beached director Stephen Ringer’s Jeep.
Despite, or perhaps because of, the unavoidable obstacles, the video has a real authenticity that makes for one exciting home movie.
