With a little over a week left till the release of her debut album, ex-Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello took to Instagram on Wednesday (Jan. 3) to share three 10-second previews of the first three songs from Camila.
The videos, which feature a notebook scribbled with digital animations of song lyrics and little doodles, give fans a first listen to two new tracks (“All These Years” and “She Loves Control”) as well as a snippet of previously released rock-leaning track “Never Be The Same.”
Cabello’s self-titled solo debut (which you can pre-order here) is set for release next Friday (Jan. 12) and the singer has already set herself up for massive success thanks to collabs with Shawn Mendes and rapper Machine Gun Kelly, as well as the release of her smash hit “Havana.” After ditching the downer original title, The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving, Cabello told Rolling Stone in a new interview that the album has taken on a more upbeat groove than originally planned.
“At first I thought it was gonna be, like, a sad-song album,” she told the magazine. “Then the more I got into the year, it just was better. I felt way happier. I feel that it has a good balance of the emo and the happy.”
