Not a fan of Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes‘ very public displays of affection? Well, Cabello agrees it’s “terrible.”
The singer sat down with BBC Radio 1’s Greg James today (Nov. 26) to talk about some unpopular opinions, one of which was about PDA on social media being excessive. Even though the Cabello and Mendes are notorious for their PDA — especially when they showed everyone how they really kissed in that Instagram video — the 22-year-old singer comedically called it out.
“Ouch. Well, I feel personally targeted. I feel personally attacked,” she jokingly responded to Cat, one of the show’s callers who addressed the issue. “Yeah, PDA is terrible. Kissing in public? I don’t even…”
She followed up her light-hearted response with an explanation of the couple’s lack of privacy from paparazzi. “You honestly get kind of desensitized to it. You’re like, ‘Well, might as well just make out on Instagram!'”
Cat also criticized “those posts where they’re just like, ‘OMG I love you so much babe, you’re my everything,'” which Cabello is also living proof of. She posted pictures of her and her “Señorita” champion collaborator from the AMAs yesterday (Nov. 25), gushing, “i love you @shawnmendes thank u for being so there for me yesterday and every other day, u have the most caring and beautiful heart in the world !”
