Sony’s live-action musical adaptation of Cinderella, starring Camila Cabello, is done filming, just months after briefly shutting down production in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
To celebrate the filming wrap-up, Cabello took to Instagram on Friday (Oct. 2) to share a sweet message. “last day of being a freakin badass rebellious dreamer princess! Today was our last day wrapping @cinderellamovieofficial,” she wrote alongside two videos joking around with the cast and crew. “I mean. I’m so grateful to have had this experience and so grateful to our crew and team for making it possible (and completely Covid safe!) during a pandemic. I can’t wait for all of you to see this movie, it has a message I believe in so much and has so much love, joy, laughter, and magic.
She went on to thank director Kay Cannon (Blockers) and producer/writer James Corden (The Late Late Show) is producing the film for “giving me an experience of a lifetime,I mean.. it’s cinder freakin rella.”
“To the cast, dancers, choreographers, music team, crew, i love you all so much!” Cabello concluded with a red heart emoji. “I can’t wait for you guys to see, I always pictured you guys behind the camera and how I hoped this film would make you feel and it motivated me and inspired me every day.”
Cinderalla, originally set to release in February 2021, stars Cabello in the title role alongside Menzel, Billy Porter, Pierce Brosnan, Minnie Driver and Missy Elliott.
