Cameron Dallas dropped a music video for his new single “Why Haven’t I Met You,” released Friday (Oct. 26) via Columbia Records.
The 24-year-old began his career by making hilariously quirky videos on the now-defunct Vine app and has now gained millions of social fans, with more than 21.2 million followers on Instagram alone.
His video for “Why Haven’t I Met You” takes place in Dallas’ tropical daydream, as he envisions a perfect getaway with the one he loves — but unfortunately he hasn’t met her yet. Dallas’ romantic nature is quickly undercut by his reality through lyrics like “I gotta stay cautious/ Waiting for your love/ Wishing it was that simple.”
The video has a dreamlike feel, with lush greenery and a spacious home complete with white curtains that catch on fire by the end of the video.
Dallas is currently working on his debut album for Columbia Records.
