The organizers of the 2018 MGA announced the collaboration today (Oct. 29). Held at the Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon, right outside of Seoul, it precedes Puth’s two concerts at Seoul’s Jamsil Stadium on Nov. 7 and 8. It has yet to be announced what BTS and Puth will be performing.
The news follows a longterm social media relationship between the chart-topping Korean septet and the American artist, in which both side send out love calls to one another. Last year saw interactions like BTS’s professing their appreciation with a tweet stating, “We really like Charlie Puth’s music,” while the soloist expressed a desire to connect more directly with the popular group.
The 2018 MGA is a music award show jointly organized by South Korean broadcasting service MBC Plus and online music store Genie Music.
