Bruno Mars will be heading to NBC to produce a comedy series with Empire executive producer Brian Grazer, Deadline reports.
The show will reportedly follow a “loud, boisterous” musical family from the Bronx. Prentice Penny (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), who worked with Mars to come up with the show’s concept, is set to pen the series.
Nicki Minaj Comedy Series Coming to ABC Family
This news comes during a big year for music stars and television. Aside from the success of shows like Empire and 50 Cent’s Power, we recently learned Nicki Minaj is executive producing a own comedy series based on her young life for ABC Family (soon to be rebranded as Freeform).
