Following her 2012 EP Gold — which included the Billboard Hot 100 hit of the same name — singer Britt Nicole is back with a new music video for “Pave,” featuring various nature landscapes, including waterfalls, mountains and vast bridges, and it’s premiering exclusively on Billboard.
Full of color and adventure, the video for “Pave” showcases Nicole on an adventure. “This song really spoke to me because I believe we are all made for adventure, but it’s so easy to get stuck in the routine of life and forget that,” Nicole tells Billboard. “This song is about chasing that adventure with the ones you love.”
Not only is the video keenly focused on paving the road for adventure, it also includes Nicole’s own daughter. “My daughter Ella is in this video because she is such a little adventurer,” Nicole says. “She is always saying, ‘Come on, Mommy, it will be fun!’ Before the morning of the video shoot, it was raining out and she just put on her bathing suit and rain boots and said, ‘Come on, Mom!'”
With an overabundance of inspiration from the creative direction of the video, it’s no wonder Nicole showcases raw happiness and desire for exploration throughout the clip. “I love everything about the video — the colors, the locations, the overall aesthetic and mood of ‘Pave,’ but what I love most is the call to adventure in it. That and sharing the camera with my princess!”
