Andy Grammer dropped by Billboard backstage at the 2016 BottleRock Napa Valley to sing his fave old school car-driving tune, chat about his new single “Good to Be Alive” and recount his “craziest moment” on tour so far: going out on stage with Taylor Swift to perform “Honey, I’m Good” before 60,000 fans in Chicago.
And does he qualify as an honorary member of The Squad? “We’ll see.”
The singer and songwriter was also quizzed about fame, and whether he’d ever imagined he’d reach the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 (“Honey, I’m Good” reached No. 9 last year). “You have to have some sort of balance in the middle of being super humble and super audacious,” he responded. “So yes, and definitely not.”
