The new Blood Orange LP was supposed to come out Friday (July 1) but — surprise — the follow-up to 2013’s Cupid Deluxe is here today. Maybe band mastermind Dev Hynes didn’t want to save it for a Summer Friday; maybe he just wanted to put it out this minute. At any rate, it’s all here — for your streaming pleasure on Spotify, Apple, etc. Physical editions will soon be available, with a release date of Aug. 19 via Domino Records.

Yesterday, Hynes also shared a music video for the album’s second track, “Augustine.”
Freetown Sound — named for the Sierra Leone capital where Hynes’ father was born — features Carly Rae Jepsen, Zuri Marley, Debbie Harry, Nelly Furtado, writer Ta-Nehisi Coates and many other others. Find the complete list of collaborators via Dev’s tweets below.
