Jack Antonoff has recorded another Bleachers album titled Gone Now, which will arrive June 2. The frontman broke the news via Instagram on Thursday (April 13) with a photo of the album’s cover art and a caption that detailed the full track list. The black-and-white cover features a portrait of Antonoff wearing a decked-out sailor suit complete with top hat.
He then took to Twitter to share the process of creating the new tracks.
“Gone Now is work I’ve been making for the past 2 years in a small studio I built in my apartment. Was very important to me to be alone in my home space where I could not escape the weight of my life and what I needed to write about. Everything at home can be horrifying in a way. Everything was there looking at you in your best and worst moments. All the walls,” Antonoff tweeted. “The album sounds exactly what it was – someone alone in a room trying to make sense of loss and how to move on. There is also an amazing cast of friends and idols who pop in for moments or send me things.”
Bleachers released the first Gone Now single “Don’t Take the Money,” featuring Lorde, in March.
