Billie Eilish surprised fans this afternoon (July 18) when she dropped a new track called “You Should See Me in a Crown.”
The dark and dramatic cut is a follow up to her Khalid-assisted track “Lovely,” which was featured on the buzzed-about 13 Reasons Why: Season 2 soundtrack.
The track was written by the 16-year old pop sensation and produced by her brother, actor/musician Finneas O’Connell. Eilish mumbles “wait till the world is mine” before erupting into a beat-dropping chorus, singing, “Make ’em bow one by one.”
This is not the first time the two family members have collaborated; O’Connell has received writing and producing credits on many various works with Eilish, including her debut EP, 2016’s don’t smile at me.
The Interscope-signed teen is busy at work on her yet-to-be-titled debut album, and will be traveling across the States this summer, making various festival appearances.
