Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas celebrated James Bond Day on Monday (Oct. 5) in dramatic fashion with a stunning performance of their 007 theme “No Time To Die” on The Tonight Show.
The camera zoomed in on a far-away Eilish silhouetted by a glowing fountain in a dark, smoke-filled lobby of what looked like an old movie palace. While a spare riff played in the background, the Grammy-winning singer whisper-sang the lyrics as Finneas played the piano in accompaniment.
The lush black and white shoot added drama to the already haunting theme song to what has been tagged as star Daniel Craig’s’ final go-round as agent 007; producers announced on Monday that the film has been pushed back until April 21, 2021 due to the shuttering of movie theaters during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eilish and Finneas also host Jimmy Fallon that they have been super busy during lockdown, with the singer saying they made “a lot of music” over the past few months. “I don’t think we would have made it otherwise, if we hadn’t got this time,” she said. “So as much as it’s been terrible to have this going on in the world, I think it has birthed some things. We have been really lucky with it.”
