Talk about keeping it in the family. Kelly Rowland recently revealed that when she gave birth to second son Noah in January, she had her Destiny’s Child bandmates close at hand. Due to the pandemic, they weren’t actually there in person for the birth, but Rowland told People that Beyoncé and Michelle Williams watched from afar on Zoom.
“We had our family join on Zoom,” Rowland told the magazine. “They were able to see Noah come into the world. It was beautiful.” Her bandmates weren’t the only ones who dialed in, either. She said her husband Tim Weatherspoon’s mother, and Bey’s mom — Tina Knowles — were also Zoom’d in. Of course she also noted that Queen Bey and Williams are “awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome” aunts.
Rowland is also mother to 6-year-old Titan Jewell. The singer announced Noah’s birth in January, captioning a cute photo of the happy family with the message, “On the 21st day, of the 21st year, of the 21st Century, Noah Jon Weatherspoon greeted us!… We are truly grateful!”
The singer announced her second pregnancy last October in a cover story for Women’s Health. In the article, she opened up about getting pregnant during the pandemic.”We had been talking about it loosely, and then COVID happened, and we were just like, ‘Let’s see what happens,'” she said of trying for a second baby with Weatherspoon. “I was thinking, ‘Oh my God, my fans are gonna be so disappointed…’ They wanted an album first, but they got a baby! And I was like, ‘I have to figure this out so they get both.’”
