Beyoncé and JAY-Z kicked off their On the Run II Tour in Cardiff, Wales, on Wednesday night (June 6). The couple’s second joint tour was announced in March, with Principality Stadium as their sold-out first stop.
The Beyhive has been buzzing on social media about Queen Bey’s caption-less Instagram posts from the first night, with the first picture showing off the power couple holding hands and a next photos revealing two wardrobe changes. The front stage had “OTR” projected in bold black letters against a white screen, with two gigantic runways expanding from the stage.
The most buzzworthy visuals published from the tour’s first stop were apparent images from the couple’s vow renewal ceremony, JAY-Z performing “99 Problems” wearing a bulletproof vest, and the pair singing on a floating stage reminiscent of Kanye West’s Saint Pablo tour set.
