Ariana Grande just added some new ink to her collection on Tuesday, and it appears to be her biggest tattoo yet.
Earlier this week, the singer tweeted about Spirited Away — the anime feature film by noted Japanese director Hayo Miyazaki — sharing with her followers that the movie is a favorite of hers and fiancé Pete Davidson.

On Tuesday night, Grande took to her Instagram story to post a series of pictures of the film’s main character Chihiro, followed by a description of her best qualities.
“Chihiro’s growth into a capable individual is a core factor to the movement of Spirited Away‘s plot. During her adventure in the Spirit World, she matures from an easily-scared girl with a child-like personality to match her age to a hard-working, responsible, and brave young girl who has learned to put her fears aside for those she cares for,” the post reads.
It makes sense that Grande would relate to the character, considering all the life changes she has gone through in the past year-plus, including her breakup with longtime boyfriend Mac Miller followed by her whirlwind engagement to Pete Davidson and the terrorist attack outside her Manchester, England, show.
“To protect her friends and rescue her parents from a spell that has turned them into livestock, Chihiro sheds her former personality and adapts to her environment to become a courageous, quick-witted and reliable girl.” she shares on Instagram.
Inspired by the character’s powerful personality and ability to metamorphose, Grande got an illustration of Chihiro on the inside of her arm.
