Just one hour after her highly-anticipated album Thank U, Next dropped last night (Feb. 7), Ariana Grande took to Twitter to update her fans as to why she didn’t post a response to the release sooner.
Grande revealed that she was overcome with emotion as her mom Joan, manager Scooter Braun and closest friends made speeches right as it hit streaming services at midnight.
“i’m sorry my posts were late. scooter allison my mom and wendy made speeches and i cant stop crying,” she wrote. “i love y’all. i hope u enjoy this album. this music, you guys and my friends saved my life. love u. sry. iight bye.”
Grande’s 2019 is already off to an impressive start, as she not only released her fifth studio album in less than a year after her fourth studio album, Sweetner, but is preparing to hit the road for her Sweetner World Tour in March.
