From performing “Chandelier” with Heidi Klum — DeGeneres dressed as Sia, Klum as dancer Maddie Ziegler — to scaring the crap out of Ariana Grande by having her walk through a haunted maze, the Halloween episode of Ellen was filled with both tricks and treats.

DeGeneres sent Grande to the maze at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights, along with the show’s executive producer Andy Lassner, to see how well she would hold up. Spoiler alert: She falls, a lot.
The singer does her best to remain calm, though she can’t help but freak out every time something, or someone, jumps out of the dark. Once they finally reach the end of the maze, Grande says, “It wasn’t bad” — though her screams prove otherwise.
Just Sunday, Grande appeared to be searching for a scare with boyfriend Mac Miller, as she shared photos on Instagram of the two kissing in an empty — and “haunted,” as the caption reads — pool. Though it seems after braving the haunted maze, she’s had enough of a scare to last until next Halloween.
