
Ariana Grande‘s “Focus” dropped last week — the first single off her highly-anticipated album Moonlight. While there aren’t any chart details yet (since the song is so new), critical response, at least, was slightly less than glowing.

In a new interview with U.K. station KISS, though, she says the song is something of an outlier on the album. “That’s why I put ‘Focus’ first, because it’s the only one that sort of sounds like that,” she said. “I’ve been putting little snippets on my Snapchat here and there of a couple things, but I can’t say [more] yet because it’s not done.”

Finishing the album is Grande’s number one priority, now that her Honeymoon tour has wrapped up. “I’m excited for the next couple of months to not only finish [Moonlight] but to have actual undivided time where I can really just focus on the music,” she told the station. “I’m really happy with what we’ve done so far, but I just feel like once I finally get the time to really dedicate myself 100 percent, I’m going to maybe outdo what we’ve already done. Maybe.”
