Following Johnny Depp’s pet trouble in Australia, Ariana Grande‘s mother ran into a problem bringing the pop star’s dogs into Dover, England, as part of Grande’s The Honeymoon Tour entourage.

“SO, I am about to tell the story of my experience crossing from Calais France to Dover, UK on the FERRY…worst experience of my life…” Grande’s mom tweeted Tuesday (June 2) in a TwitLonger post, along with the message “that time ariana grande’s dogs were almost murdered..” She continued: “The P&O Ferry was lovely, just to set things straight, the people at the FERRY BORDER were HORRIBLE to me and to [Grande’s dogs] Toulouse and Sirius.”
In the post, Grande’s mom outlined all the trouble they had to deal with getting the dogs approved to cross — from the wrong paperwork to having to hitchhike a ride over the river when guards wouldn’t let the dogs pass.
Ariana also weighed in on the issue Tuesday afternoon on Twitter — and she wasn’t pleased:
this was unacceptable. @poferries pls have your employees treat people /animals w respect. kindness goes a long way. https://t.co/IQXQCHeb6K

The Grande family may have been upset, but at least — once the dogs were safe and sound — they kept their sense of humor, with Ariana retweeting the below message from a fan.
