Ariana Grande took to social media on Wednesday morning (Nov. 20) to express her gratitude for her 2020 Grammy nominations.
“Oh wow oh wow,” the superstar tweeted upon receiving the news, before adding a heartfelt thank you to the Recording Academy: “Crying. moved and honored. thank u @RecordingAcad.”
Grande also shouted out Social House, Victoria Monet and superproducer TBHits — collaborators behind her smash album Thank U, Next — in a separate, celebratory tweet. “Pls come hold me (and grab the cliquot) @VictoriaMonet @TBHITS @SocialHouseTC.”
The star’s five nominations include nods for album of the year and best pop vocal album for Thank U, Next, record of the year and best pop solo performance for “7 Rings,” and best pop duo/group performance for “Boyfriend,” her one-off collaboration with Social House released over the summer.
The news comes on the heels of Grande’s Tuesday (Nov. 19) tour stop in Atlanta, where she brought out former Victorious cast mates (and real life BFFs) Liz Gillies and Matt Bennett to perform a number of songs from the hit Nickelodeon show, including “Give it Up” and “I Think You’re Swell.”
