Pop artist Alexx Mack exudes confidence with a sexy flair in the video for her song “Sunglasses.”
The song, which will be featured on her upcoming EP Like We’re Famous (Oct. 9), is a fun pop track that showcases Mack’s vocal range. In the video, which premieres on Billboard below, Mack is an edgy female lead as she flirts with her male co-star in a club setting.
Mack told Billboard that the way she chose to portray herself in the video is an attempt to make a statement about gender roles in society.
“I wanted to throw society’s gender roles out the window and to portray an independent point of view from a female’s perspective,” Mack said. “From being the one in the driver’s seat, to acting as the playful aggressor with my handsome male lead (played by Wade Poezyn), it’s the direct female who is playing point throughout the video.”
