Adele set fire to the rain at her world tour opening show in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Monday (Feb. 29) night, bringing with her a spectacle of special effects that included an indoor downpour over her head.

The first of two back-to-back shows at the SSE Arena received praise from those in attendance, as the superstar “Hello” singer brought with her a tasteful and impressive stage show. Appearing in a custom Burberry gown, at one point she performed “Set Fire to the Rain” with what looked like actual rain falling onto her head.
