Adele made sure everyone remembered her name Friday (Oct. 23) with “Hello,” her first new single in three years that had everyone talking, but one radio interviewer still mistook her for another massively popular singer.

On the BBC 2 Breakfast Show, host Chris Evans confused Adele for Beyoncé when he started asking about the pop star’s alter-ego, Sasha Fierce.
‘Don’t you have this kind of alter-ego that you pretend to become?’ Evans asked.
Adele responded, clearly confused, “No, not really, I mean I chat a lot.”

But Evans persisted, saying, “No, I’ve got a name here,” before Adele figured out what he was getting at and started laughing.
“Sasha Fierce is Beyoncé’s alter ego and then she’s now the Mrs. Carter, I wish I was Sasha Fierce.”
