Adam Levine has a new song called “Go Now” on the soundtrack of the The Weinstein Company’s upcoming film Sing Street and has now shared a music video for the track.

The video cuts between black and white shots of the Maroon 5 frontman recording the song in the studio and plenty of clips from the music-focused coming-of-age movie, which comes out April 15. Sing Street tells the story of an Irish boy starting a band to impress a girl in the 1980s.

Sing Street was written and directed by filmmaker John Carney, with whom Levine worked for 2013’s Begin Again.
Levine’s new track is a bit of an exception on the Sing Street soundtrack. Though the film features a number of original songs performed by the lead character’s band, it is the only new piece by a known artist. Otherwise, the soundtrack features the likes of Motörhead, Duran Duran, The Jam, Hall and Oates and more.
