The ABBA train keeps rolling! Ahead of the release of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, which hits theaters July 20, one of its featured ABBA tunes has surfaced — a re-do of the reunited Swedish pop group’s classic “When I Kissed the Teacher.”
Performed by Lily James, Jessica Keenan Wynn, Alexa Davies and Celia Imrie, who play the earlier incarnations of the film’s girl group Donna & The Dynamos, it gives a modern sparkle to a tune that originally came out all the way back in 1976. The film will also feature songs heard in the original 2008 Mamma Mia! movie, as well as deeper ABBA cuts never before heard in this context.
