MTV pulled off an impressive feat on Sunday night (Aug. 30), holding the socially-distanced 2020 Video Music Awards throughout New York City with performances by Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, BTS and more.
Hosted by Keke Palmer, this year’s awards show saw The Weeknd (who also opened the evening high above Manhattan) take home video of the year for “Blinding Lights,” while Gaga was honored with the tricon award as well as both artist and song of year among her five wins, and Taylor Swift won best direction for “The Man.”
Now that this year’s Moon People have all been handed out, Billboard wants to know which VMAs performance you thought was the best of the night! And with nine show-stopping numbers, there’s a plethora to choose from.
Did Gaga and Ariana’s live debut of “Rain On Me” (along with the former belting out “Enigma,” “Stupid Love,” and yes “Chomatica II” into “911”) reign supreme? Or did the K-pop idols blow your mind with their performance of their latest, English-language single “Dynamite”?
Were you loving Miley Cyrus‘ homage to “Wrecking Ball” during her performance of “Midnight Sky”? Or perhaps Doja Cat transported you to Planet HER with her medley of “Say So” and “Like That.”
So which VMAs performance was your personal favorite? Vote in Billboard‘s poll below and let your voice be heard!
