Bass fans can thrash in celebration today (Feb. 21), as British producer Zomboy is dropping the first single from his hotly anticipated Rott N’ Roll 2 EP.
Premiering exclusively on Billboard Dance, “Born to Survive” is a dubstep thrill ride of frenetic builds, fantastically dirty breakdowns and vocals from Phoenix-based singer rx Soul, whose smooth, soulful voice adds a bit of softness to an otherwise wholly hard track.
“‘Born to Survive’ marks the start of my biggest North American Tour to date,” Zomboy tells Billboard. “I wanted to write something to follow on from ‘Lone Wolf’ that captures the past, present and future sound of Zomboy, and I really feel like that’s what this is. It feels good to have RnR Pt. 2 wrapped finally and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
The release arrives at the start of Zomboy’s Rott N’ Roll spring tour, which kicked off earlier this February in Chicago and takes the producer on 30 stops across the U.S.. Space Laces, BadKlaat and Luzcid will support on select dates.
