Zomba revamped its national pop promotion staff with a series of changes that include the appointment of John Strazza as VP of pop promotion, Shannah Miller as VP of video promotion and adult radio promotion, Jeff Rizzo as senior director of CHR promotion, David Dyer as director of CHR promotion, Jessie Maldonado as director of operations for the pop promotion department and Rose Braunstein as director of rhythm & crossover promotion, West Coast.
In his new role as VP of pop promotion, Strazza will be responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of all records at the rhythm format. He will also work closely with the senior VP of promotion, Joe Riccitelli, on all other aspects of pop promotion. Strazza was most recently VP of top 40. Prior to that he held the title VP of rhythm & crossover promotion for Jive Records.
In her new role as VP of video promotion and adult radio promotion at Zomba, Shannah Miller will oversee every aspect of these two areas in the pop promotion department. Miller will also be working closely with Riccitelli on all aspects of strategy and execution of pop promotion.
Rizzo’s responsibilities as senior director of CHR promotion include the strategy and execution of Zomba records at the CHR Mainstream format. Jeff was previously director of top 40 promotion.
Dyer joins Zomba as director of CHR from RCA/J Records where he was previously New York regional promotion manager. In his new position his responsibilities include all aspects of top 40 mainstream promotion.
In Maldonado’s new position as director of operations she will handle all administrative functions within the department. She will continue to handle the satellite radio stations as well as New York City radio on a daily basis.
In Braunstein’s new role as director of rhythm and crossover promotion, she will work closely with Strazza on West Coast rhythm execution and strategy. Braunstein was previously LA regional promotion manager.
