Happy 22nd birthday, Zendaya!
The former Disney star celebrated the big day on Saturday (Sept. 1) by sharing an adorable childhood photo of herself on social media.
“Keeping this energy as I enter my 22nd year of life,” she captioned the black-and-white picture on Twitter.
In 2017, the Oakland, Calif.-born singer kept busy acting, appearing as Michelle “MJ” Jones in the Spider-Man: Homecoming and playing a trapeze artist in The Greatest Showman.
In recent days, it’s been rumored that Zendaya may also up for the lead role in Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken — who composed the score for the 1989 animated classic — are reportedly involved in the project.
