Since the earliest days of the 2016 presidential campaign, Zedd has taken a strong stance against Donald Trump. The German-Russian producer is an immigrant in the United States and he takes Trump’s travel ban very seriously. He also organized a benefit concert for the ACLU and filled the bill with acts including Skrillex, Incubus, Camila Cabello and more.
On Monday, he took aim at Trump via Twitter, responding to the president’s recent remarks about the NFL and how team owners should treat players who peacefully protest by kneeling during the “Star Spangled Banner” (he thinks they should all be fired). But instead of providing a counterpoint of his own, Zedd let Trump circa 2013 do the talking.
Back in the days of the Obama administration, when Native Americans and their allies demanded the Washington Redskins change their name out of respect for the varied, cultural vibrancy of Native Americans across the continent, Trump thought simply that the office of the presidency had better things to do than challenge the NFL.
Oh the irony. https://t.co/GqC4HaEXeX

Zedd and his team declined to comment further on the matter. Those three little words say it all.
See Trump’s original tweet here:
President should not be telling the Washington Redskins to change their name-our country has far bigger problems! FOCUS on them, not nonsense
