iHeartRadio doesn’t want to cause a scene, but the broadcast company just prompted a confirmation that a Zedd and Shawn Mendes collaboration is imminent.
The official iHeartRadio account tweeted a picture of “The Middle” co-producer and the “Treat You Better” singer-songwriter, begging for a tune from the two. “You will get it,” is all Zedd replied. Always mysterious and optimistic, that one.
Zedd’s current summer anthem, released alongside his best buddies Grey and country crossover starlet Maren Morris, peaked at No. 5 on the Hot 100 in late April. It remains a radio favorite as Zedd looks toward his musical horizon. No word on when a Mendes duet would see light of day, but with star-power like that, it’s almost guaranteed to hit all the right notes.
