After reports surfaced that Simon Cowell’s record label Syco Music dropped or is in the process of dropping Zayn Malik, a spokesperson for Syco tells Billboard “Zayn is still with Syco.” Although Malik is currently still on Syco and likely to maintain a relationship with the label, there are some as-yet-unannounced goings on that could mean more Zayn news is coming soon.
Zayn Malik Left One Direction 100 Days Ago: Here’s What’s Happening Since Then
The One Direction heartthrob left the wildly successful boy band nearly four months ago. Since amicably parting ways with Harry, Liam, Louis and Niall, several solo tracks from Malik leaked online, including a Rae Sremmurd cover and a Naughty Boy-produced track. Zayn’s relationship with the latter seems to have soured, however, as he recently called the U.K. producer a “fat joke” on Twitter.
