Rapper Yung Joc was arrested early yesterday (Dec. 23) at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport after a loaded gun was found in his carry-on luggage.
The 24-year-old artist, whose real name is Jasiel Robinson, may face federal charges per the Air Piracy Act. He was released today on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on felony charges for carrying a concealed weapon.
“Yung Joc maintains his innocence. He would appreciate privacy as he addresses these allegations,” said his lawyer, Stanley Jackson Jr.
Yung Joc is best known for his debut hit, “It’s Goin’ Down,” which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006. His latest album, “Hustlenomic$,” was released last August and opened at No. 3 on The Billboard 200.
