
K-pop boy band Wanna One, derived from Korea’s talent competition program, held its final concert on Jan. 27.
Among other accomplishments, their debut album 1×1=1 (To Be One) peaked No. 3 on the World Albums chart, they were named Billboard’s best K-pop rookie of 2017, and most recently took the No. 6 spot on the Social 50 chart dated Feb. 9, 2019.
As the leader and the oldest member of Wanna One, Yoon Ji Sung lead the group for two and a half years. Now, he is back with his solo album, which was released on Feb. 20.
He first stood out in the scene through Mnet’s K-pop trainee survival TV program, Produce 101 (season 2). He was older than the average age of K-pop trainees, but was voted to be one of the final 11 to make debut.
Yoon also widened his musical spectrum as DJ Hankki and actively performed as part of the Wanna One unit called Lean On Me.
