In America, YG is one of hip-hop’s most in-demand rappers. In South Korea, Brave Brothers is one of the biggest producers in K-pop. Now, the two come together for a new single that marks the first Brave Brothers-produced single catered towards the U.S.
Brave Brothers is already on a roll in 2015 producing slick K-pop cuts like AOA‘s “Heart Attack” and Hello Venus’ “Wiggle Wiggle” and continues hit hot streak with “Cash Money.” Billboard is proud to premiere the new track that features Krayzie Bone, the veteran MC and one-fifth of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. The international collaborators have nothing but praise to say of one another. “Brave keeps it all ‘G,'” YG tells Billboard. “Bro is definitely one of the most profound international producers of our time.” Meanwhile, Brave added that “YG is the new West Coast sound at its finest — he’s a lyrical genius.”
Damuer H. Leffridge, who is managing partner at Popular Music Group and acts as an executive producer for the collaboration, reveals to Billboard that “Cash Money” is the first of more than two dozen Brave Brothers-produced titles coming out over the next three years in America via a joint-venture deal through Ingrooves.
Brave Brothers already boasts loads of No. 1s in Korea, but “Cash Money” previews a promising international career and an important step in melding the global music industry.
