All the red carpet action from this year’s Billboard Music Awards will be streamed live online through Yahoo.
The Internet giant is on board as the official digital distributor for the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, to held May 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Yahoo will handle the two-hour stream beginning at 6pm from the “Samsung Red Carpet LIVE!,” which precedes the main event. The digital feed can be watched at Billboard Music Awards.com, Billboard.com and additional online destinations by embedding the Yahoo Screen media player.
Lance Bass, Jordin Sparks, Ted Stryker are confirmed as hosts for the “Samsung Red Carpet LIVE!,” while multi-platinum singer, songwriter Cher Lloyd will perform on the red carpet. The “X Factor” U.K. alum will perform “Sirens” from her upcoming sophomore album release “Sorry I’m Late,” due out on May 27. Other red carpet hosts and performers will be announced shortly.
The annual awards gala is shaping as an incredible spectacle. Jennifer Lopez will be feted with the Icon Award and she’ll perform along with the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Derulo, Imagine Dragons, Luke Bryan, John Legend and OneRepublic.
The 2014 Billboard Music Awards is produced by dick clark productions and will be aired on ABC at 8pm ET. Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan are Executive Producers. Barry Adelman and Mark Bracco join Larry Klein as Producers.
Yahoo will provide fans with exclusive red carpet access, including celebrity arrivals, interviews special musical performances and a Vine 360 Station for talent to show off their red carpet fashion choices. More details can be found here.
