XM Satellite Radio is teaming with MySpace for an online hip-hop and R&B talent search called “Show Us What Ya Got!”
Interested artists must submit an original song on XM’s MySpace page before Aug. 31 to be considered. A panel of music editors and industry artists will select five finalists and post those entries to the XM page for open voting.
Semifinalists will have the opportunity to perform at The Mix Show Power Summit in October, an annual gathering of hip-hop DJs and industry execs, and the grand prize winner will be getting a mix tape created with a high profile DJ, as yet unnamed, an on-air XM Radio appearance, and perform as an opening act for an upcoming MySpace Secret Show.
