The upcoming Truckstops and Statelines tour by indie rockers the Academy Is will be promoted by Xbox 360.
Nationally promoted by House of Blues, the tour begins Feb. 2 at the Opera House in Toronto. Among the 30 dates are HOB clubs in Atlantic City, Myrtle Beach, S.C., New Orleans, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Anaheim, Calif., San Diego, Cleveland and the band’s hometown of Chicago, where the tour wraps March 25.
After opening for such acts as Fall Out Boy and All American Rejects earlier this year, Truckstops will be the first headlining tour for the Academy Is, whose debut album bowed on Fueled By Ramen last February. Support on the Truckstops and Statelines tour includes Panic!, At The Disco, Acceptance and hellogoodbye.
Tickets go on sale Dec. 3 at Ticketmaster outlets and hob.com.
