Wurld Media has added Jason Berman to the company’s board of directors. Wurld Media made the announcement following recent news that they had secured both a new financial team and internal general counsel.
Berman has over 30 years experience with the music industry, including work as president and chief executive of the RIAA, chairman of the RIAA and special counsel for trade to President Clinton. He was elected chairman of IFPI in 1999 and served in London for six years. He is now based in New York as Chairman Emeritus of the IFPI.
“I am delighted at the addition of Mr. Berman to our board of directors and we look forward to his assistance as the company moves forward’, said Gregory Kerber, chairman and CEO of Wurld Media in a statement. “Jay served on the front lines during the birth of the file-sharing revolution and we are fortunate to gain his insight as we continue to build the file-sharing model of the future.”
