Wright Entertainment Group CEO Johnny Wright is partnering with Trinity Broadcasting Network’s (TBN) Matthew Crouch to produce programming for the Christian cable network. Plans call for the creation of a variety of new programming that will encompass “contemporary Christian music artists, sports and reality TV shows, and possibly a game show.”
Wright says the programs will be underwritten by corporate sponsors. Initially all the programming will air on TBN. “Our ultimate goal is to spin it off into a full-fledged network just for that type of programming,” Wright says, “but right now, in its infancy, it’s going to start off on TBN. The first program we’re going to do together is a talent show. The winner will get a record deal with Verity Records.”
Wright steers the careers of Justin Timberlake, ‘N Sync and the Backstreet Boys. Crouch is founder of 8X Entertainment, TBN’s film division.
