Music icon Stevie Wonder will become the latest inductee to the NAACP Hall of Fame when the civil rights organization hosts its 39th annual Image Awards, which encompasses recording, television, film and literature.
The two-hour awards ceremony — sporting the theme “Stand Up and Be Counted” — will air Feb. 14 on Fox. A venue has not yet been announced.
Leading this year’s slate of nominees in the recording categories are Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Kanye West. Tied at four nominations apiece, the three share nods for outstanding album. Additional multiple nominees include Chris Brown, Seal, Beyoncé and Aretha Franklin.
