Earlier this year, Wonder Girls member Sun became the first K-pop idol in the current generation of stars to get married. Now she is pregnant.
Sun announced she was three months into her pregnancy via a message on her Twitter account. A translation, according to Billboard Korea, reads:
“I respect all mothers in this world that have experienced the mysteries and wonders of life…^^ We have been blessed with a honeymoon baby. I heard it’s safe to announce our baby news now I’m into my third month ^^. Please pray that our baby will grow healthily while in my tummy!”

Sun revealed that she became pregnant while on her honeymoon with husband James Park. The two married on January 26 this year. They met while on a charitable mission trip to Haiti in 2010 and dated for two years before announcing their January 2013 wedding.
After Sun’s wedding, Wonder Girls performed one last time at a Special Olympics concert before going on hiatus as a group. A rep told Billboard at the time that Wonder Girls are “still together for the time being with no official decisions made about future performances.”
With an English version of their Korean hit “Nobody,” Wonder Girls stand as one of the few Korean acts to chart on Billboard’s Hot 100. Since its August 2011 creation, the quintet has earned two No. 1s on the Billboard Korea K-Pop Hot 100 chart with “Be My Baby” and “Like This.” Their most recent attempt to crack stateside was with the Akon-assisted, dubstep-inspired dance-pop single, “Like Money.”
