Steve Winwood will be hitting the road this fall in conjunction with a reissue of his solo album “About Time” and the DVD release of “The Last Great Traffic Jam.”
Winwood, who is booked by Creative Artists Agency, will kick off the tour Sept. 20 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York. The 16-date trek will run through Oct. 15 at the Tower Theatre in Philadelphia. More dates will be added.
Winwood is working on a new album that is expected in 2006 via Epic Records. In the meantime, Epic is reissuing “About Time,” which originally debuted in 2003 on Wincraft Music, as a DualDisc Nov. 1. The set will feature three extra live tracks and a live performance by Winwood.
“The Last Great Traffic Jam” (Epic) DVD, slated for release Sept. 20, captures the 1994 reunion tour of Traffic, featuring Winwood and the late Jim Capaldi. The DVD also includes a bonus CD of acoustic Traffic recordings.
