Jeff Tweedy is getting into the acting game with a guest spot on “Parks and Recreation” this spring.
The Wilco frontman will appear on the NBC comedy in a role as — get this — a musician, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Tweedy will travel to Pawnee as the former lead singer of Land Ho!, a fictional rock band that was popular in Indiana back in the day.
“Leslie [Amy Poehler] and Andy [Chris Pratt] are trying to convince him to reunite for the big Unity Concert they are organizing to solidify the merger of Pawnee and Eagleton,” show creator Michael Schur told Entertainment Weekly.

However, the reunion may not go according to plan; according to Schur, Tweedy’s character is still bitter about the band’s breakup.
An air date has not been announced.
In the non-fictional music world, Tweedy has been busy as a producer and collaborator, working with Mavis Staples on her last two albums. Wilco last released an album in 2011 — “The Whole Love,” which scored a GRAMMY nomination for best rock album.
