Embattled Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland has once again gotten himself into legal trouble. The artist was arrested early Monday morning (Oct. 27) in Hollywood after a traffic collision and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and misdemeanor hit-and-run.
A police spokesperson tells Billboard.com the singer was released from jail Monday afternoon after posting $15,000 bail, and has a Nov. 17 date for arraignment in Los Angeles Municipal Court. Monday marked Weiland’s 36th birthday.
In August, Weiland was Thank You, which is set to be released in a single-CD version as well as a special edition with a bonus DVD.
