Billboard announced Thursday (Oct. 28) that it’s partnering with VersusGame to launch a one-of-a-kind, user-generated experience with games that test music nerds to see how knowledgeable they are about pop culture. The biweekly head-to-head challenges allow users to wager on which artists will top the Billboard charts for a chance to win prizes and reward them for their accurate predictions. Mac Miller’s fan-favorite mixtape Faces, which originally dropped for free in 2014 and was commercially released this month, debuted at No. 1 on the Vinyl Albums and No. 3 on Top Album Sales, with 34,00 copies sold in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 21, according to MRC Data. Out of that sum, 32,000 were sold on vinyl LP, marking the largest sales week on vinyl for an R&B/hip-hop effort, or rap album, since MRC Data began tracking sales in 1991.
