The West Coast wordsmith also unveiled the forthcoming full-length effort’s lead single “Whoa, Whoa, Whoa,” and provided the music video exclusively to Billboard. Sporting a catchy chorus and a slew of pop culture references to the likes of Miley Cyrus, the single showcases Watsky’s fast-paced flow and tongue-in-cheek thematic approach.
The lyric-driven track, which was co-produced by Anderson Paak, Mister Carmack, Mikos da Gawd and Lo Def, will be available on iTunes on June 10th.
The release announcement builds upon what is shaping out to be a strong summer showing for Watsky, who is scheduled to tour North America with Vans Warped Tour and perform at his hometown Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival.
